Chefchaouen Day Trip
Discover the stunning landscapes on a day trip from Fes to Chefchaouen. Embark on a journey to the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen, also known as Chaouen by locals, situated in the heart of the Rif Mountains. This popular destination, admired for its picturesque blue and white-washed walls, is named after the shape of the mountain peaks that resemble the two horns (chaoua) of a goat. Nestled close to Tangier and the Spanish enclave of Ceuta, Chefchaouen draws visitors from around the world, with over two hundred hotels catering to the influx of European tourists during the summer months.

Our expedition will take you through one of the most beautiful regions of northern Morocco. Chefchaouen, established in 1741 and once part of Spanish Morocco in 1920, offers a serene retreat from larger tourist hubs. As you explore the city, you'll be captivated by its distinctive blue hues and the local woolen garments that residents traditionally wear. The city’s vibrant handicraft industry is marked by a rich array of woven blankets, showcasing the region’s artisanal heritage.

We'll start our adventure with a visit to the Kasbah Museum, located in the heart of the medina. This restored fortress features a stunning garden and a small ethnographic museum, offering glimpses into the history and charm of old Chefchaouen, including its main square and the Kasbah itself. Our itinerary includes a full day of exploring the city on foot, as well as a scenic journey through the majestic Rif Mountains, ensuring a memorable experience of this captivating blue city and its surrounding landscapes.
