Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou - Dades Valley :
Your adventure begins as your driver picks you up at 08:00 AM from your accommodation in Marrakech. Journey through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, offering breathtaking views of traditional Berber villages nestled amidst the rugged terrain. Stop to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village with ancient Kasbahs that have stood the test of time. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant nestled at the foothills of the Kasbahs. Continue your journey through the lush Skoura oasis and the enchanting Rose Valley, famous for its annual Festival of Roses. Arrive at Dades Gorges in the evening, where you'll spend the night in a traditional kasbah, immersing yourself in the serene beauty of the Dades Valley.
Day 2: Dades Gorges - Todra Gorge - Merzouga :
After a delightful breakfast amidst the scenic Dades Gorges, depart for Merzouga through spectacular landscapes dotted with Berber villages. Pass through the dramatic Todra Gorge, a canyon with towering cliffs popular among rock climbers. Journey through the towns of Tenhir, Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, gateway to the Sahara Desert. Upon arrival in Merzouga, settle into your accommodation and prepare a small bag with essentials for your overnight desert adventure. In the late afternoon, embark on a camel trek into the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes, where you'll witness the mesmerizing sunset over the Sahara. Arrive at your desert camp, nestled amidst the sand dunes, where you'll enjoy Berber hospitality, traditional drumming music, and a delicious dinner under the starry desert sky.
Day 3: Merzouga – Midelt - Ifrane - Fez :
Rise early to witness the spectacular sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, a truly unforgettable experience in the Sahara Desert. After breakfast and a refreshing shower at your accommodation in Merzouga, begin your journey towards Fez, traversing diverse landscapes and passing through various Berber villages along the way. Drive through Arfoud, known for its fossil discoveries, and Errachidia, before crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains and reaching Midelt, a town known for its apples and dramatic mountain scenery. Continue through Ifrane, often called "Little Switzerland" due to its alpine architecture and cool climate. Arrive in Fez in the evening, where your memorable desert adventure concludes. Your driver will drop you off at your preferred location in Fez.
