Itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat
Upon arrival at Casablanca International Airport, our journey begins with a visit to the iconic Hassan II Mosque, renowned as the largest mosque outside Mecca, followed by a leisurely exploration of the Cornich coast. Later, we depart for Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where we will spend the night in our selected Hotel/Riad.
Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes
After breakfast at your Riad, embark on a cultural journey visiting the Hassan Tower and the Oudaya Kasbah in Rabat. Continue onward to Fes via Meknes, another significant imperial city. Highlights include the impressive Bab Mansour gate, Sahrij Souani Bassin, and the Mulay Ismail Mausoleum. Lunch will be followed by a visit to the well-preserved Roman ruins of Volubilis. Our route takes us through the scenic Rif Mountains, arriving in Fes by late afternoon. Check into your Riad nestled in the heart of the Medina. Overnight in our Hotel/Riad.
Day 3: Exploring Fes
Start the day with a hearty breakfast, then delve into the ancient city of Fes. Highlights include the Royal Palace gate, the historic Jewish quarter, and the first Mellah built in Morocco. Discover cultural landmarks such as the renowned Al Qaraouine University, the vibrant tanneries, the Attarine museum, and the Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, visit a local tiles cooperative for a panoramic view of the Medina. Later, explore the modern district "La ville nouvelle" before returning to your Hotel/Riad for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
Following breakfast at your Riad, depart Fes for Merzouga via the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains. Pause in Ifrane, dubbed "the Switzerland of Morocco," and visit a cedar forest in Azrou, home to Barbary apes. Continue through the Ziz Valley towards Merzouga, experiencing the changing landscapes of the Atlas Mountains along the way. Overnight in our Hotel/Riad in Merzouga.
Day 5: Merzouga area and the Camel trek
After breakfast, explore Merzouga at your leisure before visiting the Gnawa people to experience their unique music and lifestyle. Discover the nearby Lake of Merzouga, home to various bird species. In the afternoon, embark on a camel trek guided by an experienced camel handler through the golden sands of Merzouga. Enjoy a dinner under the stars at our Luxury Berber Desert Camp, equipped with modern amenities including flush-toilets.
Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Wake early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Return to Merzouga by camel trek and after breakfast, depart for Rissani, Tinghir, and the spectacular Todra Gorges. Lunch amidst the gorge's stunning scenery is followed by a scenic drive through the Dades Valley, famed for its rock formations and kasbahs. Overnight in our Hotel/Riad.
Day 7: Dades Gorge – Skoura – Ait Ben-Haddou
After breakfast, journey through the captivating Dades Valley, known as the "Route of a Thousand Kasbahs," capturing unforgettable photographs along the way. Stop in Kalaat M’gouna, renowned for its rosewater, before continuing to Ouarzazate via Skoura. Overnight in our Hotel/Riad.
Day 8: Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Imlil
Enjoy breakfast at the Hotel (Ksar) before traveling to Asni and Imlil via the dramatic Tizi Ntichka Pass. Explore the historic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, before continuing through the High Atlas Mountains to Asni and Imlil villages. Overnight in our Hotel/Riad. BB.
Day 9: Exploring Arumd Village and the Imlil Area
After breakfast, explore the picturesque Imlil Valley, opting for a scenic hike to admire panoramic views of North Africa's highest peak. Alternatively, relax at the Kasbah and take in the stunning Atlas Mountains scenery. Overnight in our Hotel/Riad.
Day 10: Imlil – Tahnaout – Marrakech
Enjoy breakfast at the Kasbah before traveling to Marrakech via the Berber village of Tahnaout and the captivating Moulay Brahim gorge. Spend the evening exploring the vibrant Jemaa El Fna square, filled with magicians, storytellers, musicians, and snake charmers. Overnight in our Hotel/Riad.
Day 11: Exploring Marrakech
After breakfast, immerse yourself in Marrakech's rich history and culture. Visit key landmarks in the "Red City," with free time in the afternoon for personal exploration. Overnight in our Hotel/Riad.
Day 12: Essaouira Day Trip
Breakfast at your Riad is followed by a day trip to Essaouira. Explore the Skala Fortress, the port, souks, and Thuya wood artisans in the medina. Return to Marrakech for overnight accommodation in our Hotel/Riad.
Day 13: Marrakech Free day
Enjoy a free day in Marrakech to indulge in a traditional Hammam and spa or explore the city at your leisure. Overnight in our Hotel/Riad.
Day 14: Marrakech – Departure
After breakfast at your Riad, transfer to your chosen airport for your departure. Tour concludes at the airport.
